    Never shake after adding the soda. You’re not gonna believe this, but just like when you shake a soda bottle, it fizzes and foams over and gets everywhere.

    Plus, a Tom COLLINS goes in a COLLINS glass (tall glass). Otherwise, the instructions are correct (you don’t need to add sugar, the lime juice is definitely sweet enough).

    a tom collins is to be made in a Collins glass (tall glass) Squeeze half whole lemon (fresh) and simple (superfine) suger, over ice of course. Gin goes last, 1.25 Oz to be exact. Stir (never shake gin) then restrain over fresh ice, add a splash of soda and a cherry for garnish. Im here all week.
