    wat type flour do u use? asian buns are pure white..i have no idea how they do it…i’ve been using bleached all purpose flour but it always turns out yellowish…

    yes, we added yeast …
    yes, we added yeast only this time, but adding sugar using warm water is important (to feed the yeast). sometimes we also add some baking soda, but that’s more to neutralise the favour of yeast than making the dough rise.

    i never know what type of flour is that until everyone keep asking. I tried to look up from the web and below is what I found:
    1. Please refer to the link below for brand of flour I used
    2. it is 粉心粉 and in chinese meaning “Short Patent” or “Patent Flour”
    3. it has about medium to high protein content
    4. 粉心粉literally means using heart of the wheat germ
